This series is ongoing as it holds the true core of my creative journey.
My work explores inheritance, memory, and identity through layered processes in painting and other mediums. With roots in Surinamese, Chinese, and Dutch histories, I draw on personal and postcolonial narratives to examine how the past shapes the present — often quietly, through traces, silence, and material.
