“Perhaps there is a moment in everyone’s life, an instant, a day or a night in which every memory gets so much color and sharpness that the greater connections become clear.” Marianne Fredriksson
Collages on paper or existing prints. Dimensions vary from very small to big.
“All photographs are memento mori. To take a photograph is to participate in another person’s or thing’s mortality, vulnerability, mutability. Precisely by slicing out this moment and freezing it, all photographs testify to time’s relentless melt.” Susan Sontag
I’m looking for the meaning of identity with the question: “Who am I?” Current theme in politics is the determination of the other. On social media like facebook it's about how to present yourself. Your life as a work of art. It all raises questions. Am I my profile? Am I my feelings, my brain, my views? Am I my work? Am I my ancestry? Am I my personality? Am I my gender?
From the series "Who am I?" All works are prints on paper. Dimensions are 60 x 90 cm.
